The Environments of Terrestrial Planets Under the Young Sun: Seeds of Biomolecules 1st Annual conference is almost here. To date, there are 96 attendees from 16 different countries registered to participate with over 60 abstracts submitted.

This symposium will be available online for remote participation via the Adobe Connect URL for the meeting: https://connect.arc.nasa.gov/nexss/

Presentations

We ask all presenters to bring their presentation in .ppt AND .pdf format on a flash drive to Mike Toillion (you can find him at the side table in the conference room Bldg. 34/W150 on April 9-11 and Bldg. 33/H114 on April 12-13 and/or email directly to him at michael.toillion@nasa.gov at least 1 hour before your talk. The presentation filename should be specified as LastName_Firstname.ppt(x) and LastName_Firstname.pdf.

If you have received confirmation that your abstract has been accepted as a poster, please ensure that the dimensions of your poster are no larger than 36" (91cm) x 48" (121cm).

Meals at the Conference

The meeting will offer all day coffee and tea service each day of the conference. Lunch will be on your own at the building café. You will have a variety of options to select from including hot/cold sandwiches, salads, pizza, soup, and so much more.

Banquet Reception

This year's banquet will be held at The Barney & Bae Recreation center located on the Goddard Space Flight Center campus. Food will be provided by Mission BBQ and the per person cost of the reception is $25. Payments can be made in cash at the reception desk prior to the banquet. Adult beverages will be provided.

Center Access Badge

To avoid a delay with check in, please ensure that you have all of your documentation prior to arriving at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Please keep track of the visitor's badge issued to you. If it is lost or misplaced, you will have to complete the badge check-in procedure again, before being allowed back onto the GSFC Campus. Once your badge has been issued, you will be allowed to access campus through any gate.

US Citizens / Legal Permanent residents (Green card holders)
You will have to produce two forms of ID listed on the attached I-9 Security poster. Green card holders MUST bring their "green card". If you have specific questions pertaining to your proof of identification please do not hesitate to contact Lynette Queen.

Foreign Nationals
All non-US Citizens are classified as a Foreign Nationals. All foreign national badge processing will occur at the Security office (Building 9) located at the Main gate: 8800 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, Maryland. For identification proofing, your passport and visa documents must be presented. If you are not traveling on a visa you MUST bring a copy of the confirmation page of your ESTA Visa waiver.

All foreign nationals will need to sign in with an escort each day of the meeting. There will be a conference volunteer that will meet you at the main gate each day of the conference to register and escort you over to the conference location. The escorts will be at the main gate from 8am to 8:45am each morning. Please ensure that your arrival time will accommodate this schedule.
