    Software Engineer and assistant researcher for satellite data utilization with emphasis on remotely sensed ocean surface winds and observing system simulation studies. Over 25 years of experience in geophysical validation, assimilation and evaluation of satellite Earth observations for climate studies and improved weather prediction. Multi-disciplined software developer with expertise in data visualization and analysis, object oriented design and advanced information systems technology.

    Current Projects

    Cognizant Design Engineer for the SMAP Level-4 Operational System

    Responsible for the design and implementation of the operational level-4 processing system for producing land and carbon products for the Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) mission.

    Software Engineer for GMAO Data Services Project

    Responsible for the design and implementation of a generalized service for accessing multiple gridded data sources and delivering images and/or data upon request. The primary goal is to develop the back-end service for a Web Map Viewer, Web Map Service (WMS) and Web Coverage Service (WCS).
