  • Brief Bio

Natalie Thomas is an associate scientist in the Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO). Her current research supports the GMAO's Reanalysis of EOS Observations for the National Climate Assessment project. She is investigating the applicability of the MERRA-2 reanalysis in various applied climate topics. Her current focus is on the large-scale weather associated with extreme climate events such as heat waves. General research interests include climate variability and change, extreme climate events, and teleconnections.
